Return of the Jedi hit theaters, and suddenly the fate of the galaxy rested in the hands (paws?) of... teddy bears with spears?

Enter the Ewoks - knee-high terrors that sent Stormtroopers packing and fans into a frenzy. These furballs split the Star Wars fandom faster than Han Solo could get to hyperspace! One side cried "Brilliant underdogs!" The other yelled "Shameless toy commercial!" But there's no denying that an army of furry forest dwellers taking down AT-STs with logs and vines was fun to watch. It was like David versus Goliath, if David was three feet tall and said "yub nub."

But George Lucas wasn't done with these furry fighters after their big-screen debut. They starred in two TV movies: "Caravan of Courage: An Ewok Adventure" in 1984 and "Ewoks: The Battle for Endor" in 1985. That same year, "Ewoks: The Animated Series" became a Saturday morning must-watch for kids everywhere. The show expanded Ewok lore, introducing concepts like the Tree of Light and the Sunstar-Shadowstone. This stuff was practically Ewok Shakespeare.

The revival of the Star Wars franchise in the 21st century brought with it questions about the fate of these unlikely heroes. What adventures were in store for our huggable heros? None. The reality was a quick cameo in "The Rise of Skywalker." Honestly, a bit unfair to a group that showed us that size doesn't matter when you're taking on an Empire, and that sometimes, the most unlikely heroes come in the fuzziest packages.

There was at least some good that came out of the brief appearance in the sequel trilogy. For a moment, we got to go back to that lush, green world where we first encountered these surprising rebels. Picture dense forests, towering trees, and a primitive yet cunning species that called this place home. Can you name the celestial body where the Ewoks first showed the Empire that primitive doesn't mean pushover?
