It’s time for some real talk: ‘80s TV shows by far had the best music of any era.
The chord progressions were always upbeat, not to mention lyrics that just made you feel good. And there was something about the fact that every song had some kind of synthesizer in it that made you feel warm and fuzzy inside. All you need to hear is the first line of your favorite ‘80s sitcom theme song, and you’re transported to a happy place.
But it’s more than a feeling (shoutout Boston), as there is objective evidence that TV music in the ‘80s was really, really good. It was so good that the soundtrack to this show topped the Billboard charts. Which soundtrack was it?
