Which country does Black Panther lead in Marvel Comics?

Black Panther made his comics debut in 1966 in "Fantastic Four" #52, the kind of guest spot where new characters usually get saved, recruited, or politely beaten by the home team. Instead, Stan Lee and Jack Kirby had him beat all four members, and he did it on his home turf. Which country does Black Panther rule in Marvel Comics?
▼
Correct Answer: Wakanda
(Source)If you're going to be the first Black superhero in mainstream American comics, you might as well do it with a throne. T'Challa was king of Wakanda, an African nation with technology that outclassed everyone else in Marvel. He inherited the Black Panther mantle from his father T'Chaka and won the throne by defeating his uncle in open challenge. T'Challa joined the Avengers a few years later. I've always liked them better than the Fantastic Four anyway.
