If you take all of the stories they tell seriously, it sure seems hard to become an actor. If I understand it correctly, you have to become a waiter first. Either that, or work at Disneyland. You do that for a while, making no money, while you get turned down over and over for parts. Then, finally, on what you said to yourself would be your last ever audition, you finally land that breakthrough role. Did I get that right? Eh, close enough.
When you’re just trying to break through, I would certainly understand why struggling actors would start taking on odd jobs — especially when they’re related to the industry somehow. Doing some voice acting work seems like a pretty great way to get into the business and help pay some bills — and really, could become a lucrative career in its own right.

The answer is: Dave Coulier. Before becoming a household name playing Uncle Joey from Full House, Dave Coulier was beginning to get traction as a voice actor.
