In the '80s, you had two choices: The choice of Coca-Cola (old people), or the choice of a new generation (cool, young people).

At least, that's what Pepsi marketing wanted us to think. Stemming from the Pepsi Generation marketing of the '60s, they enrolled some of the biggest names in pop culture to help you make that choice, including Michael Jackson and Michael J. Fox. Mostly Michaels, apparently.

But way before kids were sticking it to their parents by drinking Pepsi, the drink wasn't even called by that name. The iconic, worldwide brand first hit the market back in 1893 with humble beginnings.
