A baby whale is called a calf, which seems like a pretty humble name for what's basically an underwater tour bus at birth. These ambitious babies don't mess around with the whole "starting small" concept as blue whale calves can weigh as much as three tons! On top of that, they pack on about 100 pounds every single day during their first year, making human baby growth spurts look like amateur hour.
