I remember squeezing my way into a single middle seat — you see, in those days you couldn't reserve movie theater seats ahead of time and your parents would let you go up to the closer seats on your own — just as the opening bass line dropped for 1990's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles.
It was pure magic, with the animatronic heads and puppetry and ooze — plus, these guys were like me. They liked video games and pizza and making dumb jokes. And also, I was an elite ninja. Most of that is true.
Pizza, for these turtles, is life. But, at least in this groundbreaking first live-action movie, there's one topping Michelangelo (nunchucks, cracks jokes, likes orange) really hates. Which one is it?
