If you’re someone who’s worried about what kids today are missing out on from the glory days of the past, add understanding Susan Lucci’s greatness to the list.

Lucci began starring as the character Erica Kane on the daytime soap opera "All My Children" in 1970, and continued in the role until 2011 — for those counting, that’s a 41-year run. And she only stopped because ABC finally canceled the show (if anyone from ABC is reading this, shame on you).
