Screenwriting is an underappreciated art — and when you think about it, really underappreciated in the general making of movies. The writers have to come up with basically everything, from the concept to the overall story to the emotions to what the viewers should see and, you guessed it, the dialogue.

Just imagine what it must have been like to write some of the great lines in movie history. A moment when everything just comes together in a perfect expression of humanity and art.

Take some of the greats:

  • "Frankly, my dear, I don't give a damn.”
  • “The stuff that dreams are made of.”
  • “I’m mad as hell, and I’m not going to take it anymore.”

And then, of course, you have “Nobody puts Baby in a corner.”  Such an iconic line surely came from an iconic script that was turned into an iconic film. Which movie features this quote?
