How much money have James Bond movies made at the box office?

It’s pretty incredible to think that James Bond movies started coming out over 60 years ago, and we’re still getting new ones. All told, there have been 25 official Eon-backed Bond movies so far, plus two rogue productions.
It all started with 1962’s adaptation of Dr. No, featuring none other than the iconic Sean Connery. While it took a little bit of time to really get the machine rolling, that first feature ended up netting $59 million at the box office — and yeah, in the ‘60s that was even more valuable than the huge amount it would still be today.
With that initial box-office success, England’s most famous spy has been churning out cash. How much cash has he made at the movies so far?

Correct Answer: $7.8 billion
The answer is: $7.8 billion. Billion. $7.8 billion. That’s how much Bond films have pulled in — so far — at the box office, good enough for fifth place among all film franchises. If you want to add in books, video games, and other media, the media franchise as a whole has made nearly $10 billion worldwide. That’s a lot of shaken martinis.Source
