Bones are weird, aren’t they? They’re technically considered organs, but are extremely rigid, plus dogs like to chew on them. And let’s not forget the marrow, which tastes quite nice when spread on toast (talking about non-human marrow here, of course… I hope). 

Humans have been trying to understand more about bones since the ancient Greeks and Egyptians. As far as popular culture would have us believe, there’s a replica of a human skeleton in every classroom on the planet. And, of course, if you ever get electrocuted, you can see all of your bones for just a split second.

Since we all have them, we know a thing or two about bones. But have you ever bothered to count how many of them there are in the human body?
