What was Cheech & Chong's first feature film?

Cheech and Chong were never exactly subtle about their whole schtick. Their 1972 comedy album was packaged as a giant rolling paper. Their blunt humor (see what I did there?) helped them win a Grammy Award for "Los Cochinos" and move 10 million records before Hollywood came calling. What was Cheech & Chong's first feature film?

Correct Answer: Up in Smoke
(Source)Lou Adler produced Carole King's "Tapestry" and decided a movie about two guys driving a marijuana-resin van from Tijuana to LA was the perfect directorial debut. He had already produced all five of their hit comedy albums, so "Up in Smoke" was just another album with cameras. Paramount hated the rough cut and made Adler self-finance the rest, but the studio reversed course after seeing test audiences' reactions. Cheech and Chong only saw $25,000 each, which is insane considering the movie grossed over $100 million. But the movie's success let them renegotiate future paydays, and from then on, they were living the high life (literally).
