I’ve said it before and I’ll say it as many times as I have to —1984 was a hell of a year for cinema. I’m not even going to list all the other great movies that came out that year, because as you probably noticed this trivia question is about the legendary mockumentary, This Is Spinal Tap.

Christopher Guest, Michael McKean, and Harry Shearer play the trio of Nigel Tufnel, David St. Hubbins, and Derek Smalls, aka the heavy metal band Spinal Tap. While the film makes fun of previously released rockumentaries, rock stars, and the music industry in general, you don’t have to be in a band to find it hilarious.

It’s also eerily accurate for a comedy — take the performance of “Rock N Roll Creation”, during which bassist Derek Smalls’ pod fails to open until the song is over. Fans who witnessed U2 get stuck inside a giant lemon during their PopMart tour in 1997 likely recalled this memorable scene.

Obviously, as one of England's loudest bands, the amp that guitarist Nigel Tufnel plays through is incredibly important. How high does it go?
